Compassion - Resourcing That Stays
SACRD, the Faith-Based Initiative (COSA DHS), and Compassionate San Antonio invite you to a half-day symposium to explore and reflect on Compassion, Resilience, and Resourcing.
This isn’t just a symposium or a presentation. This is community-live and San Antonio at its best in full exploration of resiliency with direct connection to compassion.
You won’t want to miss conversational input and insights from some lead innovators across our community. And then take those, turn them on their head, and transform your own innovations towards more resilient resourcing at-work in our world, our community, Our City!
The session will be held at Girl's Inc. of San Antonio, 2214 Basse Rd, on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 8:15 am to noon. A light breakfast and refreshments will be provided.
This important conversation will focus on how the resiliency and staying power of compassion can be a resource in uncertain times. Funds change, policies change, and programs start and end, but Compassion stays, and we remain committed to the mission.
Spend a morning with your peers to find a newer sense of identity, focus, and purpose,
Spend a few hours thinking about your purpose and hear from peers about theirs. Leave with a clearer view of critical connections between compassion and staying power.
Most importantly, take a moment of reflection to spark (at least one) new and invigorating idea.
Community Conversation
This HIGHLY INTERACTIVE symposium will use the Community Conversation format.
We will start each topic with comments and discussion from a panel of Conversation Starters and then encourage attendees to converse in small groups to share their own experiences and seek new insights into resiliency and keeping focus on our collective mission of compassion.
Conversation Starters
- Sarah Woolsey, Impact Guild, Good Acres
- Kate Jaceldo, COSA Office of Sustainability
- David Davis, W.E. Bridge San Antonio
