SWIM1922 Annual Water Safety Clinic is an event dedicated to promoting water safety awareness and education within communities.
As part of our national SWIM1922 initiative aimed at increasing swim participation and decreasing drowning rates in underserved communities nationwide, Eta Rho Sigma of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., is proud to host the annual SWIM1922 Water Safety Clinic. This FREE event welcomes participants of all ages and will occur on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Resource Council of WNY.
Join us for a practical and informative session where we'll teach the fundamentals of water safety and the basic skills of swimming. This is a hands-on clinic, so come prepared to get into the pool and learn by doing. Attendees can expect hands-on demonstrations, informational sessions, and interactive workshops led by experienced instructors and experts in aquatic safety. Topics covered may include drowning prevention, basic swimming techniques, CPR and first aid training, and proper supervision and precautions around water environments. This clinic aims to empower individuals with the practical knowledge and skills to stay safe in and around water, ultimately reducing the risk of water-related accidents and fatalities.
Please note that pre-registration is required, along with completing a Publicity Release and a Hold Harmless Agreement waiver (both forms will be available at the event). Additionally, children and youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
