Shellyis the owner ofPastry Shells, a wedding cake and decorated sugar cookie artist.  She started Pastry Shells is 2010 and has been perfecting the art of decorating cakes and cookies ever since.  She loves learning new techniques and can't wait to share her secrets of cookie decorating!  She is known for her fun sugar cookie video tutorials and knows that learning in person is the best way to perfect this fun art!  Make sure to check her out on instagram and facebook (@pastryshells) as well as her website (www.pastryshells.net)!

Pastry Shells

Learn the secrets behind two creative outlets, sugar cookie decorating and modern hand lettering, with this all day master class open to beginners through advanced creatives!
Your day will start with an introduction to sugar cookie decorating with secret recipes, tricks, and tips from the "sweet" owner of Pastry Shells, Shelly!  Once the basics are learned the class will learn step-by-step instructions for three beautiful sugar cookie designs (shown below).  Some of the skills you will learn include flooding the perfect cookie, applying perfect polka dots, creating hand brushed lace, piping perfect rosettes with leaves, creating a border, perfecting a flower cookie, and many more!

After a lunch provided by Jason's Deli, you'll get an introduction to hand lettering with modern lettering artist, Lanta of Letters by Lanta!
Lanta will walk you through everything you need to hand letter with confidence and ease. In this class, you will learn basic letter forms and techniques, how to create/define your own lettering style, and how to add embellishments to take a piece from concept to finished product.

Finally, each attendee will learn the tricks for adding the newly learned lettering skills onto the beauitfully decorated sugar cookies.  Each student will go home with a workshop booklet with all the tips, tricks, recipes, and instructions, beautiful hand-decorated sugar cookies, and a beautiful piece of hand lettered artwork.
With the small class environment and Shelly and Lanta's teaching styles, each student will receive one-on-one attention and individual help.

FAQs
 Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Each attendee must be 16 years or older.
 
What's the refund policy?
There are no refunds available for this event.  All sales are considered final and cancellations will not be accepted. However, any ticket may be transferred to a friend in the event the original ticket holder cannot attend.  All transfers must be coordinated with Lanta and Shelly.
