🌀 What is a Swap?

A swap is a community-powered event where people bring gently used items they no longer need—and take home new-to-them treasures. Think of it as shopping, but circular, collaborative, and conscious. No price tags. No checkout lines. Just pure exchange.

Whether you're dropping off a funky jacket, picking up a new plant baby, or swapping your extra art supplies, you're keeping beautiful items out of the landfill and giving them a second life.

Swaps aren’t just good for your closet—they’re good for the planet, your wallet, and your local community. They’re a joyful reminder that what we already have is often enough—it just needs to find the right home.

WHAT CAN YOU SWAP?

👗CLOTHING

Accepted:

• Gently used or like-new adult or kids clothing (all sizes, all genders!)
• Accessories: belts, bags, hats, scarves
• Clean shoes
• Outerwear, activewear, and funky statement pieces

Not Accepted:

• Stained, torn, or overly worn clothes
• Underwear or used socks
• Pet-hair-covered or unwashed clothing
• Swimsuits (unless new)

🎨 ART SUPPLIES & ORIGINAL PIECES

Accepted:

• Drawing + writing tools (pens, markers, chalk, pastels)
• Paintbrushes, palettes, trays
• Fabric dye, ink, mixed media
• Yarn, fabric (12”+), thread, sewing notions, knitting tools
• Collage materials, beads, glue, sketchbooks
• Display materials: easels, small vendor setups, earring displays
• Small original artwork (max 12")
• Prints, zines, postcards, comics
• Gently used collage material
• Sketchbook pages, handmade crafts
• Sewing Machines (working or needing repairs)

Not Accepted:

• Dried out markers or paint
• Broken tools
• Fabric scraps < 12”
• Oversized art
• Hateful or violent content

🌱 PLANTS

Accepted:

• Healthy houseplants (bare root or potted)
• Rooted cuttings, propagation jars
• Labeled seeds
• Pots, holders, soil, and fertilizer

Not Accepted:

• Pest-infested or unlabeled plants
• Outdoor invasives or stressed/dying plants
• Toxic plants without warnings

🏠 SMALL HOME GOODS & REUSABLES

Accepted:

• Tote bags
• Jars (follow @offthebottlerefillshop guidelines)
• Water bottles, lunch boxes
• Small home decor
• Clean cookware, dishware
• Good condition camping/outdoor gear
• Hangers

Not Accepted:

• Pillows, sheets, duvet covers
• Furniture, electronics, candles

🎶 MUSIC, BOOKS, & MEDIA

Accepted:

• Vinyl, CDs, cassettes
• DVDs, TV series
• Books
• Board games & puzzles (must be complete)

Not Accepted:

• Electronics
