Sustainable Investing Summit 2018

As concern grows about our changing climate, how can public trust funds and private citizens advance positive investment and environmental results?

Please join Treasurer Tobias Read for the 2018 Sustainable Investing Summit in Portland. The event will bring together state and national finance leaders to highlight how Oregon Treasury is helping lead as a responsible shareholder, by engaging for climate action and diversity, managing for ESG risks, and investing strategically for a cleaner future.

The keynote conversation will consider business advantages of sustainable investing with John Streur, President and Chief Executive Officer of Calvert Research and Management, and Rukaiyah Adams, Chair of the Oregon Investment Council and Chief Investment Officer at Meyer Memorial Trust.

The lunch keynote features Gina McCarthy, former administrator at the U.S. Environmental Protection Administration and now Operating Advisor at Pegasus Capital Advisors.

Other speakers and panelists come from an array of leading firms and organizations including Blackrock, Nike, Sustainable Accounting Standards Board (SASB), KKR & Co., Dimensional Fund Advisors, State Street Global Advisors, Service Employees International Union, Goldman Sachs, Pacific Pension & Investment Institute, VertueLab, Sustainable Northwest, Council of Institutional Investors, Equilibrium Capital, and Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners.

The Summit also will highlight ways the public and other investors can make a positive difference. The event will include a networking welcome reception on Sept. 5 and a conference on Sept. 6.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking is limited at Leftbank but we have reserved the east lot at the Rose Quarter. The lot will be open from 7am-6pm and the cost is $10 for the day.
