Sustainability 101 Training

The NYC Public Schools Office of Energy and Sustainability integrates climate action into the daily operations of schools. Working within the Division of School Facilities, we reduce greenhouse gas emissions through energy management, reduce waste, and promote access to gardens and outdoor learning. This training is to prepare FIRST-TIME Sustainability Coordinators with tools to implement sustainability in their school building.

THIS EVENT IS FOR FIRST-TIME SUSTAINABILITY COORDINATORS WITHIN NYC DOE (DISTRICT OR CHARTER) SCHOOLS.In this training you will learn about your role and responsibilities as your school's new Sustainability Coordinator. We will cover all of the necessary information you need to succeed and also provide time and guidance for you to complete your school’s required sustainability plan, which is due October 27. This is a free event with a catered lunch. You will walk away:<ul><li>knowing the fundamentals around sustainability and it's importance to your school;</li><li>with actionable ideas and resources to support sustainabilty projects;</li><li>having completed your required sustainability plan</li></ul>We look forward to meeting you and working with you throughout this new school year!
