This summer, local area high school students can participate in an Aviation STEM Camp for a refundable $25 fee* from June 17th-20th at the Penn Valley Airport in Selinsgrove. Over the course of 4 days, students will learn about aerodynamics, the science of flight, engines, weather, US airspace, flight planning, air traffic control, building robots and a jet engine model, and more! Hands-on STEM projects and an opportunity to fly a full-motion aviation simulator will be provided. Lunch will be provided each day.
This event is capped at 12 participants, and is only open to students who are entering grades 9-12 this fall and who reside in the following PA counties: Union, Columbia, Montour, Snyder, Northumberland, Lycoming, Clinton, Mifflin, or Centre.
*The $25 ticket fee is refundable, and will be refunded to camp participants through Eventbrite upon camp completion. Please note: If you register for camp and do not attend, a refund will not be issued. Any individuals seeking financial assistance for the $25 fee should email Allison Grose at agrose@advancecentralpa.org.
