Sushi Making Class

Tuna Bar is a Japanese Raw Bar & Grill concept created by Owner and Executive Chef Kenneth Sze. Located in Old City Philadelphia, Tuna Bar boasts a relaxing, upscale atmosphere serving fresh and locally sourced ingredients. The diverse menu offers traditional and specialty sushi rolls, raw oysters, scallops, hand-selected fish, and shareable entrees. Beer, wine, and specialty cocktails will also be offered tableside and at the full-service bar.

Tuna Bar

Tuna Bar, a Japanese raw bar concept created by Owner and Executive Chef Kenneth Sze, is pleased to announce the launch of the first installment of monthly Sushi Making Class Series. Curated and instructed by Ken Sze himself, Sushi Class will be open to all and held at Tuna Bar, located at 205 Race Street, on the ground floor, retail level of the Bridge apartment building in Old City, Philadelphia. Tuna Bar’s Sushi Making Classes will be held once a month and will focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients. Each class will feature an hour of step-by-step interactive instruction on selecting ingredients and creating a sushi roll by hand, a Sake pairing and a take home bag filled with complimentary Tuna Bar sushi mats, chop sticks, a seasoned rice kit and t-shirt for participants to take home. Classes will have 12 seats for one-on-one personalized attention. Tuna Bar welcomes participants of all levels and interests, from beginners to avid sushi lovers.
“If you have a curiosity and an appreciation for sushi, this class is for you. Sushi Making Class was created to promote education and experimentation around the art of sushi, technique, tastes and types of ingredients used in the process,” said Chef Sze. “Cooking has the ability to connect people in a fun, interactive way and that’s exactly what we want our ‘students’ to take away from their experience at Tuna Bar.” 
Due to the small class sizes, spots are limited and available first come first serve. Tuna Bar's Sushi Making Class "Fall Series" schedule is as follows:
 
October Sushi Class
