About this event

If you have experienced suicide loss, you are not alone. Join us to find comfort, gain insight, support, hope, a listening ear, a shoulder to lean on, and others who can relate to your pain.

Together we can learn to deal with, and eventually heal from the pain of loss due to suicide.

This is a peer support group hosted by the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Calhoun County (SPCCC). Everyone in the group, including our facilitators, has experienced suicide loss and knows how devastating the experience can be.

This group is free and meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6 pm - 7:30 pm at the Willard Library Meeting Room in Battle Creek, MI.

Registration is not required and walk-ins are welcome.

For questions or more info, contact Scott at steichmer@summitpointe.org.

Organized by

The Suicide Prevention Coalition of Calhoun County (SPCCC) is a partnership of dedicated community members that includes medical and behavioral health professionals, educators, law enforcement, faith leaders, veterans services, mental health advocates, survivors of suicide loss, survivors of suicide attempt, and many other caring and compassionate members of your community.

We are asking YOU to join us.

Sign up for a QPR class today; spread the word to your friends, family, and neighbors; and once you've taken QPR, share your knowledge with others, help plant the seeds of hope, and when you notice warning signs that someone might be thinking of suicide, use your skills to TAKE ACTION.

Be the one to show up for that person, let them know you care, listen with empathy (and without judgement), and get others involved. We need our community now more than ever, and most importantly, WE NEED YOU.

If you or someone you know is having thoughts of suicide, call our local Summit Pointe Crisis Line (1-800-632-5449) or call/text the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Reach out TOGETHER; if you're struggling, ask someone to help you make that call, or be the one to help a friend make that call. You deserve support, you belong here, and YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Summit Pointe provides 24 hour a day emergency services and crisis response. Services are designed to meet the mental health crisis needs for all of Calhoun County.

If you are interested in bringing QPR to your workplace or organization, please contact Scott at steichmer@summitpointe.org
