Over its historic eleven year run, SURE THING became a flagship showcase for the Austin comedy scene, surviving a venue closure and a global pandemic to present five hundred and twelve weekly installments from 2012-2013. A favorite of publications like the Austin Chronicle and Austin Monthly magazine, SURE THING was also one of Austin’s first stand-up shows to garner wider attention outside of our local scene, and features in outlets like Splitsider, NY Mag’s Vulture blog, and The AV Club helped to train national the spotlight away from the coasts and toward a booming generation of new comics based in Texas’ capitol city in the 2010’s.
Throughout it’s decade-plus run, SURE THING was entirely produced and hosted by local legends/best buds Duncan Carson and Brendan K. O’Grady, a feat that earned them an official proclamation from the city of Austin celebrating SURE THING as the longest-running standup show in ATX history. This special one-off edition of the show doesn’t signal the start of a new streak, but it does mean you get another chance to spend time with some old friends, catch some of the scene’s funniest new talents, and enjoy one more great night out at one of the city’s very best comedy venues, the fabulous Fallout Theater. We’ve never had to guarantee you’ll have a blast- it’s right there in the name!

REFUND POLICY:

In order to allow us time to fill your seat in our limited capacity, refunds can only be made 24 hours before the start of the show. Due to our currently limited capacity and online ticket policy, if you purchase tickets and are a no-show on the night of the performance – you forfeit the right to a refund. We recommend audiences to be 18 or older due to mature content on stage; however, those under 18 are welcome with parental discretion.

CONCESSIONS / ALCOHOL

Drinks available for purchase at Fallout Theater's bar. NO BYOB. To drink you must be 21+, but you can still see our shows without drinking if you are under 21. Our programming tends to be PG-13 & up! Concessions available at box office.

PARKING

Street parking is usually available within a 2 block radius of the theater. Try parking north of 7th Street on Lavaca, or west of Lavaca near Guadalupe & 8th (by the old library).
