Our young people are simultaneously experiencing the world in online spaces and IRL (In Real Life). For some of our students their online personality, friends and activities have become more real to them than their in-person existence. How do we support our students in being safe, responsible, and fostering positive connections to online spaces? We invite parents, caregivers and the community from K-8th grade families to an interactive conversation about online presence. How do we offer our students personal space while ensuring they are safe? What is the impact of social media on our student’s wellness? And what is the parent’s role in ensuring that students practice productive digital presence? Blaze Consulting will offer tools and resources to support the evening’s conversation.
This session is in person at Madison Elementary School. Food and childcare will be provided. Spanish and Chinese translations will be provided. Raffle Prizes!
