Supporting Multilingualism - a virtual workshopAs a multilingual school, we daily see the benefits of multilingualism, and also the challenges that families face in strengthening and maintaining multiple languages at home.We will share tools for encouraging and strengthening the language at home. Focus will be on language learning of children and teens, but much of the information will be useful for adult learners as well. This workshop is built to serve also those who do not share the language their children are speaking - finding ways to support their child&#x27;s learning. You will learn about- How do you learn and maintain a language? In short: exposure, quantity and consistency! - Language m﻿otivation and identity: ~for the whole family ~for the parents/guardians ~for the child- Global r﻿esearch about multilingualism- M﻿yths about multilingualismA﻿fter sharing some information, we will continue discussions in smaller facilitated groups - sharing motivation, tips, exploring language learning methods and finding ways to test our just gained knowledge of multilingualism in our day-to-day lives.

E﻿vent participation Waiver: 
The SSCC reserves the right to take photos or video clips during the event that may be used in promotional material (including but not limited to printed materials, films about the school, slideshows, social media and the SSCC`s website) for the SSCC. With registering to this event, I give my consent to the SSCC to include my picture in said promotional materials without any compensation to me.
