This training provides participants with skills, knowledge, and strategies to create a supportive environment for LGBTQ+ youth. Participants will learn key terms and the difference between sexual orientation and gender, as well as the types of discrimination LGBTQ youth experience in Massachusetts. At the end of the session, participants will learn best practices and develop action plans for their organizations to best support LGBTQ youth.



This training is for mentoring program staff, youth program staff, mentors, and youth workers of all experience levels, and is sponsored by Mass Mentoring Partnership, a statewide affiliate of MENTOR for the commonwealth of Massachusetts. While all are welcome to attend our virtual trainings, programs based in Massachusetts are highly encouraged to join us. All start and end times given are in the time zone of Boston, MA, USA.
