Our Rotary Club.The San Diego Downtown Breakfast Rotary Club was chartered on October 9, 1990. We have over 100 members in all age groups and who represent a wide variety of professions. Supporting Coffee, Together is a party with a mission.Together with Bay Area CoRoasters, Sedna Coffee/Yellow Rooster Coffee Imports, Fremont Bank, iFinca, and Rotary International, we’re creating a $200K fund for microloans to women coffee producers in Honduras. We're raising $10,000 to help fund the $80,000 match of Rotary's $120K grant. Your money matters: $1 donated gets $1.5 of Rotary money!We all hear the news about desperate Hondurans and the large migration of people risking everything to undertake the dangerous trip North. We can help and Microloans work! When loans are made, women have capital to enhance their money-making endeavors, thereby increasing the family’s financial security, reducing domestic violence, providing a recurring boost to the local economy, and giving women a voice in their communities.
