About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Mark your calendars for the first Thursday of each month!

Join Maryland Public Television (MPT) for Early Learning Social, a monthly virtual gathering designed for early educators. Connect with peers in interactive discussions, share valuable resources, and enhance your teaching skills. Throughout 2025, our free training series will offer an in-depth exploration of the Maryland Early Learning Standards, covering each of the five learning domains across two sessions. In May, the focus will be on family engagement and approaches to learning, including how children learn in different ways and how they develop positive attitudes toward learning.

Attend the May session, and come ready to collaborate with peers as you:

  • Enhance your competencies by learning how to engage families and caregivers effectively using family communication bundles
  • Identify resources to help families build media literacy skills at home
  • Discover how to easily integrate high-quality educational media from PBS KIDS into your teaching toolkit
  • Earn 2 COK hours towards your training requirement

Register today!

  • Create a free Eventbrite account to access all the event information.

  • Training begins promptly at 6:30pm.
  • Active online attendance and completion of an evaluation and assessment form are required to earn training certificates.
  • Certificates will be emailed within two weeks after the session.
