Module 10 - Ethics and Working with the Union

The purpose of the Ethics Ordinance is to promote public confidence in public servants, to preserve the integrity of city government, and to establish disclosure requirements and standards of conduct for all City of Detroit public servants. All employees are held accountable to this ordinance.

Some city employees are represented by a union or labor association. This is determined by the employee’s job title and in some cases, by department.
