Description
Introducing Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga series. Offering 5 classes that bring your mat, your breathe and your drishti on one of the calmest water spots in Scandia, Sand Lake.
Why not deepen your yoga practice, expanding it from the stationary flat floor to less stable platforms? SUP is a perfect tool for developing balance, posture, stability and rhythm on a moving platform.
All classes will offer a land warm-up and a floating yoga experience on SUP boards. The boards will be anchored in Sand Lake. You will be guided through SUP basics and a sequence of poses focused on calming the breath, bringing awareness to alignment and strengthening postures that aim at welcoming balance and calmness while on the water.
The goal is for each individual to find comfort and stability on an unstable environment. And heck, maybe even play and laugh a little.
Class Structure – Wednesdays, May 27 – Jun 24
4:30 – 4:45 Yoga Warm Up & launch
4:45 – 5:15 Yoga on the water
5:15 – 5:30 Savasana on the water, Namaste on beach
Costs – Sign up for each class individually
$25 – SUP Provided
$20 – Bring your own SUP (must have leash and anchor)
