Sunset Ecstatic Dance

Sunset Ecstatic Dance

Overview

Join us for an evening of movement and music as we dance into the sunset with sea views on the beautiful Southgate Cliffs

🌅Sunset Clifftop Ecstatic Dance🌿

Join us for a magical sunset Ecstatic Dance, where movement meets the elements through a beautifully crafted DJ journey designed to awaken the wild dancer within.

Surrounded by sea, sky, and dramatic clifftops, we'll gather to celebrate the abundance and bliss of summer through the medicine of dance—wild, free, embodied, and alive.

Dancing outdoors offers a powerful opportunity to honour the season, reconnect with nature, and return home to ourselves through movement.

This is an invitation to release, surrender, awaken, and reconnect with your body. Expect soul-invigorating, booty-shaking, heart-opening music, with everything in between. Together, we create a welcoming, non-judgmental space to move freely, express authentically, and celebrate our shared humanity through dance.

Our Outdoor Nature Dances

Our outdoor dances offer a sacred container to reconnect with the rhythms of the land and our own wild nature. Here, dance becomes ritual, release, celebration, prayer, play, and transformation.

Join us for an evening of freedom, heartfelt community, and connection with the elements. After the dance, gather around the fire or enjoy a warming chai as we connect and share together.

What is Ecstatic Dance?

Ecstatic Dance is a free-form movement journey that supports self-expression, presence, joy, and inner connection. No dance experience is necessary, only a willingness to move.

Our shared agreements

  • We dance barefoot whenever possible to ground into the earth.
  • We dance without talking on the dancefloor.
  • We dance substance-free, no alcohol or drugs.
  • We dance without phones or technology, allowing ourselves to be fully present.

The evening begins with a guided somatic warm-up to help us land in our bodies and connect with the land, followed by an eclectic and beautifully curated DJ journey through waves of rhythm, energy, emotion, and release. We close gently with stillness, integration, and a sharing circle.

About the Facilitators

🎧Dj Jazzy Be

Founder and resident DJ Jazzy Be returns to the decks with a playful, emotive, and heart-nourishing musical journey. Weaving together bass-driven rhythms, soulful melodies, and hypnotic grooves, she guides dancers through an expansive experience of movement, connection, and joy.

As the creator and space-holder for Ecstatic Dance Wales, Jazzy Be has held space at festivals including Buddhafield, Unearthed, Nozstock, Spirit of Gower, and Love Trails, as well as with some of the UK's most established and celebrated Ecstatic Dance communities.

Expect a set that is bassy, soulful, hypnotic, and deeply connected to the heart and the land. Rooted in her hiraeth—the Welsh sense of belonging, longing, and connection to place—her musical offering invites dancers into both silliness and sacredness, creating space to move, feel, and come home to themselves.

🤲Rachel Isaac

Rachel Isaac will facilitate the somatic warm-up, gently guiding us out of our minds and into our bodies. Through breath, voice, movement, and presence, she creates a safe, playful, and curious space to arrive fully, awaken the senses, and prepare for the dance journey ahead.

An actress, acting coach, and facilitator, Rachel brings a wealth of experience in creative expression, working with both professional and emerging actors. She has developed and shares a practice that reconnects us with our innate creativity through breathwork, vocal release, presence training, creative movement, dance, and music. Her work supports participants in discovering, trusting, and deepening their authentic self-expression.

"Once we learn to share our thoughts & feelings in a new dynamic way - we are empowered to embark on our own unique awakenings and healing journeys."
