LIZZ ROMAN & DANCERS

For three weekends this June LR&D will premiere their latest architectural romp, "SUNSET DANCES". LR&D's newest work will take the performers and audience on a site-specific journey through an Ocean Beach home located on the western edge of the city in the outer Sunset neighborhood of SF. Roman and her dancers will be joined by a team of award winning collaborators, featuring the band " WATERSAW " performing an original live score, while welcoming back Clyde Sheets, lighting designer and long time LR&D collaborator and introducing our newest collaborator filmmaker Pete Litwinowicz.

NOTE TO AUDIENCE:
Shows start at 8:30pm, so please plan to arrive by 8:15, to allow time for parking, bathroom use and settling into your site. Pre-show directions for audiences will happen as each site fills and an usher will be in each location to guide you thru the evening. No late seating. Once the show starts, it is not possible to join any audience. Show is 1:15 minutes with no intermissions.
Two sites are outside, and you will go up one set of stairs and down another set to see the entire dance, so wear warm, comfortable shoes and clothing.
Parking: if your driving, this is a residential neighborhood, so please be careful not to block driveways. We are two blocks from Ocean Beach between Pacheco and Quintara Streets at 2050 47th Ave. When parking try side streets Pacheco and Quintara or the Great Highway. It's a short walk to actual performance site. You'll see chairs out front and house is yellow.
Muni: If your on muni, you can take the L-Taraval or N-Judah to 46th Avenue and walk 3 blocks from Taraval and 46th or 6 blocks from Judah and 46th Avenue. There is also the 18 bus which goes down 46th Avenue if you prefer not to walk from train.
If you want to visit beach before the show, use the Pacheco street entrance as it has a stoplight and lots of places to sit and take in the beautiful views.
If your looking for a pre-show meal or drink, check out Taraval St. corridor, Judah St. corridor and Noriega St corridor. The SUNSET/PARKSIDE is hopping these days with lots of new establishments.
