<p>This is one of several information gathering meetings for the National Academies Committee on Environmental Impact of Currently Marketed Sunscreens and Potential Human Impacts of Changes in Sunscreen Usage. The purpose of these meetings is to collect information and perspectives that may be informative to their task, and will be held on a variety of topics pertinent to the committee’s task.</p><p>At this meeting, the committee will hear presentations about potential effects of UV filters to the environment, potential effects of sunscreens on humans, and wastewater management near marine ecosystems in Hawaii.</p>
