After tearing up The Loft’s stage in December, The Girts are back to send you out of the long weekend in style. Hitting up MoshPit for the first time this April, the band promises to bring their signature mix of chaotic anthems, cheeky lyrics, and the kind of energy that can only come from a band that’s learned to laugh in the face of danger (and questionable living conditions).
With support from the exceptionally elegant dream pop of Anna Dine and the brilliantly chaotic stylings of Alex Fears, it’s an event that one can’t afford to miss!

Born as an inside joke amidst Covid lockdowns in a crumbling, asbestos-riddled home in Malabar, The Girts didn’t just survive their surroundings—they excelled in them. A group of five unlikely misfits, they first bonded over their shared love of loud music, dodgy home renovations, and boozy nights out. Fast forward a few years, and now they’re ready to bring their uniquely raw and gritty energy that got them through those late-night jam sessions to the stage for all to see.
With a sound that blends indie rock, garage punk, and heavier influences with a dash of "F*** it, why not?" The Girts are ready to make their mark. Built upon an endless supply of guitar riffs from Alex Munoz and Eamon Moroney, propelled by the seasoned rhythm section of Mitchell White and Dominic Maher and given life by the manic stylings of frontman Joe Mezzatesta, The Girts is a tribute to the power of music and it’s ability to inspire, empower and create something special out of nothing.
Catch them live, and you’ll see why they say you can’t keep a good band down… even if their roof might be.
