About this event

Come volunteer at REAP Climate Center during our Open House and Volunteer hours! REAP’s campus is open to the public Sundays from 10 am to sunset and Wednesdays from 2 pm to sunset. Feel free to drop in at any time, and stay as long as you like. We always have staff ready to guide you through a fun set of volunteer-friendly tasks.

Before arriving, please read through our volunteer page and FAQ, and sign our online waiver. All volunteering participants of all ages are required to sign the waiver before coming to campus.

We do our best to update this volunteer page one week before the event to describe what tasks we have planned. Some possibilities include: watering, planting, compost building, animal maintenance, light construction or fabrication, and heavy construction.

One thing we ask prior to visiting is filling out our WAIVER.

Hope to see you here and learn together!

"What exactly will we be working on" is our most common question, and yet, it is still difficult to answer.

All sorts of stuff. From gardening to making soil, crafting to lite construction, tinkering to engineering, and community building to building curriculum. Our goals are lofty, yet they are simply one step at a time.

Please let us know what interests you. Generally, four types of activities:

Project Categories

1) Ecological Light - watering, planting, trimming, sorting seeds, spreading wood chips.

2) Ecological Heavy - habitat restoration, tree planting, turning compost.

3) Building Light - building benches, fixing fences, signage, painting, general beautification & maintenance.

4) Building Heavy - building structures, installing fences & gates, solar installation, metal work & welding, etc.

5) Arts - fabrication, erecting sculpture, and more.

6) Animals - various activities with sheep, chickens, and bees.

7) Activities with our other on-campus nonprofit partners.
