Emerald Ballet Theatre presents Coppélia on May 18 and 19 with music by Léo Delibes and choreography by Roman Zinovyev and Tatiana Liabina after Marius Petipa.
Dr. Coppélius dreams of making his best doll ever - Coppélia, a doll with real heart - yet after many sleepless nights, he falls asleep. All of the creatures in his workshop come alive, but is it only a dream?
Meanwhile, Franz is engaged to Swanilda, but can't keep his eyes off the mysterious girl sitting on the balcony of Dr. Coppélius' house. Swanilda and her friends decide to investigate who the girl is, and sneak into his toymaking workshop, with comic results for all.
