What will I be doing in the class?

Besides having the most fun ever? You will be decorating your very own set of cookies that you will take home with you! We will also cover some cookie facts and decorating techniques.

Can I purchase an additional take-home kit?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Many parents or practicing cookiers purchase additional class kits to take home and re-do the classes. You can purchase an add-on kit during checkout. Your kit will be available at the end of class - so don't forget it!

Question 3

Do I need to know how to bake?

Accepted Answer

Nope! No baking history required. We will have the cookies pre-made for you along with the icing already mixed and colored. Have a little decorating experience under your belt… er… apron? Come on too! I can help with questions on icing mixing and dough spread!

Question 4

What will we learn in class?

Accepted Answer

You’ll learn about preparing royal icing and using different consistencies – also tips and tricks to make your cookies look even better than they taste! You’ll learn different decorating techniques depending on the class theme such as marbling, outlining, wet-on-wet, brush embroidery, and painting.

What do I need to bring?

Accepted Answer

Nothing but a smile! Everything will be provided for you, including sugar cookies. All you need to do is join us and have fun! Messy decorator? You can bring your own apron or just wear easy-to-wash clothing. Oh – and bring your phone – I'd love for you to share photos!

Question 6

What age is best for cookie classes?

Accepted Answer

This class is at a brewery, so no kids under 10, and older than that only with your paid ticket as well, but cookie classes can be for almost any age! Follow me on Facebook or Instagram (@kristenscottage) for info on other classes I'm offering!

Question 7

Signed up for a class but can't make it?

Accepted Answer

:( We understand that life happens so that’s why we allow you to cancel up to 7 days before the class. You can always transfer your spot to a friend though (and what a nice friend you are)! Any cancelation after the 7 days will roll you into the next upcoming class.
