The second annual Summer Tax Summit will take place on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at the Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) in downtown St. Louis, followed by an evening at Busch Stadium’s Ballpark Village to watch the Cardinals take on the San Diego Padres in an all-inclusive party area.
We will host a welcome reception on Monday, August 26th (5-8 pm) and have reserved a limited block of hotel rooms at the MAC clubhouse that are available on a first come/first served basis (Monday and Tuesday evening).
CLE programming will include a variety of tax controversy and white-collar criminal topics, including:
- Update on IRS CI and DOJ Tax Division criminal enforcement priorities
- Update on IRS Collection, CDP Hearings and the IRS Office of Appeals
- CARES Act Fraud & Enforcement
- Conservation Easements
- Best Practices in Tax/White Collar Criminal Cases - featuring U.S. District Court Judges from the Eastern District of Missouri and Southern District of Illinois
- Prepping for Trial in Criminal Tax Cases - featuring former and current US Attorneys, AUSAs, and DOJ Tax Division prosecutors
- Eggshell Audits: Ethical Considerations and Practice Tips
For private practitioners, the cost for the entire event is just $750 (not including airfare), which includes a two-night hotel stay at the MAC, the welcome reception (dinner) on Monday night (8/26), the full-day CLE (breakfast and lunch included) and Cardinals’ game ticket (dinner/drinks included) on Tuesday (8/27), and breakfast on Wednesday morning (8/28). For local attendees, the cost for the full-day CLE only is $375 (includes breakfast and lunch).
Admission to the full-day CLE is complimentary for government officials, public sector attorneys, judges, and law students, courtesy of the FBA St. Louis Chapter (subject to availability).
Hotel rooms are available on Monday and Tuesday at a discounted rate of $125/night. Guests will be required to put down a credit card upon arrival to cover incidentals.
