This is a special youth strength training camp for ages 12-18 of all levels and experience. Your teen can get strong for sports, play or life! Coached by Amanda Sheppard, SSC and former D1 Collegiate Strength Coach. The camp runs from June 4 - August 22, Tues/Thurs 1:30pm - 3:00pm. We are offering this special youth camp at HALF-OFF regular session rates!

Frequently asked questions

What kind of training is it?

Teens will be coached in barbell training on the four major lifts: Squat, Deadlift, Overhead Press and Bench Press. Weights will be adjust to each clients individual capacity and closely monitored to ensure safety and progression. Increased strength after three months is GUARANTEED.

Who will be coaching the camp?

All sessions will be taught and coached by Amanda Sheppard, Head Coach at Starting Strength Beaverton and former Division 1 Collegiate Strength Coach. A college athlete herself, Amanda has a Masters in Kinesiology and extensive coaching experience with clients of all ages and levels.

What if my child has no strength training experience, or is not an athlete?

Our camp is for ALL students of ALL abilities, ages 12-18. Our gym's motto is "Strength is for EVERYONE." Your teen can train for sports, play, or life! Best of all, they will be getting strong and having fun next to other young people in a relaxed, encouraging environment.

Can parents come and watch?

Absolutely! You are welcome to stop by or stick around anytime. As long as your teen approves it. :)

How much does it cost?

Cost is $600 for the summer. That is HALF-OFF our standard rate of $1,200 for 3 months of coached training. We want this special camp accessible to all young people.
