About this event

  • 20 days 7 hours

The Facetime Theatre Summer Stage Program is a three-week summer camp experience culminating in the performance of a full-length Broadway musical. Students will perform the musical with full sets & costumes, orchestra, and choreography.

Facetime’s Summer Stage program is one-of-a-kind in this area. Students work in groups, with college-age interns, who mentor them throughout the program. Facetime brings in highly experienced instructors to work with the Summer Stage students. Throughout the program, students receive focused instruction and develop the core skills necessary to achieve excellence in stage performance. Emphasis is placed on collaboration, creativity, and fun! The instructors focus on acting, vocal instruction, choreography, stage combat, makeup, costuming, set construction – all aspects of production. After just two weeks together, the students begin to rehearse the show with a full orchestra and in less than three weeks, the show opens.

Students may enroll in ONE session of Summer Stage on 2/1/24 at 7am. If they would like to do both, please register for your first choice and mark on the form that you want both sessions if space allows.

COST:

To register, purchase non-refundable $100 deposit ("ticket") through Eventbrite. Your $100 deposit will be applied to your balance for camp. Your balance will be charged in two installments; one approximately a month after registration and one a month before your session begins.

Campers must be able to attend all scheduled tech rehearsals, performances, and clean-up date. If a camper has an unexcused absence, it may impact the scope of his/her involvement in the performance. Campers should be able to attend all camp dates, within reason, as missed camp days may result in an alteration of casting/role assignments. There is limited time to prepare material, so camp time is very important.
