I miss writing with kindreds in person! This is why I am creating THREE in person opportunities to meet in my backyard sanctuary as we drop the critic, and write to our little hearts content. Each time we meet we will use poetry, prose or music for inspiration to craft 2 -3 pieces. Like a rinse cycle, we will write, share and repeat. Tea and coffee will be available, giving us some fuel as we open the tent flaps of our heart.
Soul Sauce Writing is an in person container taking place over three 90 minute sessions, building capacity each time we meet. We will harvest 2-3 completed pieces from each session. This group will be limited to 6 participants. Soul Sauce focuses on dropping the inner critic and tapping into the unbridled heart and soul of the matter.
Within each of us, lie rich stories waiting to escape our fingertips finding their way onto paper. After becoming an expert at explaining away all the reasons I was NOT a writer, four years ago I finally made a commitment to cultivate writing as a regular practice. I became hyper aware that consistent writing unlocks creative expression caving a pathway to freedom.
I am not a writing teacher. I am a lady who happens to believe that what you're saying YES to during Soul Sauce Writing (especially when you want to say no) will heal all of us. Currently, I am enrolled in a 6 month Wild Writing Teacher Training Certification with Laurie Wagner. I believe strongly in shooting from the heart and the hip, and I will encourage this type of liberation for you too!
During our time together, I will be offering jump off lines in the form of prompts without expectation of one single thing. Everything is an invitation for us to get reacquainted with our stories, our truth, our soul sauce. Writing is simply noticing and listening to what is coming. Soul Sauce writing is saying yes to the next thought, word, or emotion without fear of judgement.
