About this event

  • 2 hours

This concert features an all-star band of performers, both young and old, wise and bold. With 10 musicians that have spent a financially unwise amount of time and money training in this music, you will be entertained by professionals from across the country who have collectively recorded no fewer than 8 albums.

Whether you are a jazz fan, a curious musical novice, or you just want to be able to brag to your highbrow friends, the sound of a (small) big band is something you should experience in person. The sound quality of live acoustic instruments cannot be matched by Spotify (we also more ethical business practices). There's a reason why it got you/your parents/your grandparents/your great grandparents dancing!

The band's personnel consist of:

Joe Auty Trumpet

Emily Denison* Trumpet

Bob Rogers Trombone

Niamh Klappe Trombone

Zach Griffin Alto Saxophone

Harrison Argatoff Tenor Saxophone

Afu Keteca Baritone Saxophone

Alexander Argatoff Bass

Spencer Dean Piano

Will Friesen Drums

*Vocals

Plus guest vocalist Leila Neverland!

That's what they want you to think. Have you ever heard *good* live jazz?

But I don't like Jazz? (II)

I'd love to come, but I'm busy that night!

Well, if you can just invent a time machine, you'll be fine. Those laws of physics can't be that hard to get around, can they?

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes, and it's also near public transit.

Is it going to be lit af?

no cap hella lit

Is dancing allowed?

We don't have a dance floor as such, but if the groove moves you, you're welcome to dance in the aisles.
