This event is designed as a relaxing getaway afternoon for families, to enjoy nature, movement and mindfulness and celebrate the summer solstice together. It is run by Lindsay from Rise & Shine Wellbeing, who has over 10 years experience of running yoga classes and events and Eastwell Farm who are hosting and allowing us to meet their alpacas.
This family retreat will start with meeting and greeting the alpaca herd at the farm. You will then get to take part in a fun, family yoga session with some partner poses, and sun salutations to welcome in the summer solstice.
After a refreshment break, we will spend some mindful time in the natural woodland area followed by some solstice crafts to take home as well as a free summer wellness guide, to help you build on the experience at home.
This is a relaxed afternoon for all the family, however given the farm and activities planned we would say it is most suited to children aged 4 to 12.
Please note that the farm will have areas of uneven ground in the fields, and with the good old Northern Irish weather, we cannot guarantee the sunshine! We will have sheltered areas in the event of rain.
Please dress comfortably in clothes that allow you to move. You may need to bring raincoats or suncream dependent on the weather. The event will go ahead in any weather, apart from if we receive a weather warning. There will be light refreshments, so please do notify of any allergies or requirements.
