Be a steward of our local Bluemont Park and environment by helping remove invasive English Ivy plants!

Community Celebration + Refreshments


After the invasive plant removal, please stay for a time of socializing, community celebration with live acoustic music, and partake in fellowship over a light meal.

Celebrate the summer with EcoAction Arlington at the Bluemont Junction Park! Join us for a beautiful evening outside on one of the longest days of the year for service, sunshine, and socializing!

Volunteers will be stewards of our community park by participating in an invasive plant removal. After the service project, stay for a time of socializing and connecting with one another during our community celebration! Food and drinks will be provided with your ticket purchase for our community celebration.


Jane Grady (she/they), a local musician, will be playing a selection of of folk music covers, as well as, acoustic renditions of oldies, classics, and pop songs during our community celebration.

About Bluemont Park: To get to the Caboose, park at the Bluemont Park lot at 601 N. Manchester Street (near corner of N. Manchester Street and Wilson Blvd.) and walk across the bridge over Four Mile Run and cross the Washington and Old Dominion (W&OD) Trail to the Caboose and field.

*Tickets to the community celebration are $15 each, to cover the cost of the food and beverages being provided. EcoAction Arlington's community events are open to all regardless of your ability to pay our admission fee.
