Summer Solstice 108

McFetridge Yoga & Fitness studio is a unique yoga program within The McFetridge Sports Center that aims to promote health and wellbeing to the community by offering all-levels yoga and fitness classes seven days per week. McFetridge Yoga & Fitness Studio provides accessible, affordable, and quality yoga instruction in our brand new yoga studio overlooking the ice rink. We believe that students of all ages, experience, and activity levels can benefit from a regular yoga practice.

Due to the 100% chance of rain prediction for today we have moved this event into the yoga studio!
Thursday June 21st is the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. It is a time of passion, creativity and gratitude. It is a time to reconnect with our fire side, yang side, and let our light shine brightly. It is a time to cultivate the seeds we planted in the spring and allow our goals to bear fruit. It is time to celebrate! In yoga, one can celebrate by practicing 108 Surya Namaskar.
Join Kristin Schleich at **McFetridge Yoga & Fitness Studio** from 6:30-8:00pm for 108 sun salutations. The sun salutations will be broken down into 9 sets of 12 with each set complemented by a poem, affirmation or intention making it truly a moving meditation.
This is a donation based class with all proceeds raised given to <A HREF="https://www.igrowchicago.org/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">I Grow Chicago</A>, a local organization whose mission is to grow Englewood from surviving to thriving through community connection, skill building, and opportunity. You can donate online through our event page or bring cash on the day of.
