Join the Janelle Gilchrist Dance Troupe for a summer performance celebrating the works of several Boston-based choreographers!

This July, the Janelle Gilchrist Dance Troupe (JGDT) presents Summer Solace, a performance rooted in the feeling of solace, a special kind of comfort found during times of fear and uncertainty. The performance features a combination of ballet and modern works by an array of Boston-based choreographers. Horizon Ensemble will accompany JGDT’s main company in a piece called Fantasy on Shadow, composed by Shira Laucharoen. At the end of the performance, Former Boston Ballet Principal Dancer, Chrystyn Fentroy will close our showcase with a piece choreographed by Janelle Gilchrist before she joins the Royal Swedish Ballet as a Principal Dancer for their 2026-2027 season.
