Works in Process | June 19


Experience the dancers of BalletNEXT workshop upcoming new works alongside live music, as artistic director and choreographer Michele Wiles walks the audience through the Company’s creative process from concept to choreography to the stage. This is a rare chance to experience exciting new dance as it is emerging and get to know the BalletNEXT company. The program will be followed by a question and answer session with Michele, the dancers, and the musicians.


The Best of Swan Lake | July 17


Join us for a fun filled evening of ballet, live music and story telling as we dive into an original adaptation of some of the most memorable moments from the classic ballet Swan Lake. Our reimagined retelling of this worldwide favorite returns featuring choreography from BalletNEXT artistic director Michele Wiles, a unique arrangement and live musical performance, and an accompanying narration of the tale of Swan Lake provided by Park City Youth Services Librarian Katrina Kmak. This installment of our family friendly performances at the Park City Library is sure to provide a magical encounter with a beloved classic, told in an entirely new way!


Mixed Repertory | July 18


Immerse yourself in a dynamic program that features three original works created this year. All of the evening’s performances will be accompanied by an outstanding group of live musicians. First on the program will be a brand new piece by renowned choregraphy Brian Reeder featuring the electric cello using a pedal looping technique .Second in the program will a new work created this year by Michele Wiles’ Petrichor, set to the music of Max Richter. Completing the program will be The Devil Wears Pointe Shoes, a rousing western-themed contemporary ballet to end the night on an energetic note.
