What is Urban Dor?

Urban Dor is Connecticut's largest young Jewish adult social nonprofit with over 300 members. Events are networking-style to meet new friends in the community. Founded in 2021, Urban Dor has hosted over 20 events (averaging 30 people per event) and has 17 community partners.

Urban Dor is for Jews in their 20's and 30's who are looking for events in the Greater Hartford Jewish community. The word “Dor” (with one O) has a double meaning; it’s both an opportunity for things to do (think: open door) and in Hebrew it means generation. Urban Dor has opportunities for you to make new friends, experience what the Jewish community has to offer you, and connect to your Jewish roots through cultural events.
