Read To Me International (RTMI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was incorporated in the State of Hawaii in 1996 in an effort to improve children’s literacy. The mission of Read to Me International is to share the love and joy of reading aloud. RTMI strives to ensure that every child is read to every day for at least ten minutes. It also involves various stakeholders in participating in or promoting reading aloud to children daily.
Read To Me fulfills its mission through public education outreach (newsletter distribution, website, presentations and workshops, public service announcements, educational videos), community events (public events, read-alouds, conferences) and parent-coaching programs.
