Black August is more than a month — it is a living tradition of remembrance, resistance, and radical love. Join Toward Pride and the MBS Spiritual Wellness Partners as we gather to honor the legacy of Black freedom fighters, celebrate the richness of Black culture, and recommit ourselves to the ongoing struggle for justice and liberation. This commemoration will bring together community, creativity, and conscience — featuring live performances and art from local Chicago artists, with special guest appearances by:🎤 David L. Martin🎤 Ms. Philly Expect an afternoon rooted in:✊🏾 Black Resistance — honoring the history and spirit of those who fought and continue to fight for our freedom🍽️ Black Food — nourishing our bodies with the flavors of our culture🎨 Black Culture — celebrating the artistry, joy, and brilliance of our communities This is a free community event open to all.
