Are you a curious, creative, hobbyist, or the do it yourself type who is interested in Welding? If you plan to enhance your technique or just simply want to learn, this 4 week class is for you. Students will receive instruction on welding safety, shop safety, welder set up, and use.

This course is designed to teach basic welding techniques for home or art projects or to enhance skills. The course is customized to allow students to learn welding skills such as MIG welding, ARC welding, and oxy acetylene and plasma cutting. Once familiar with the various methods, students will be able to focus on the ones that suit the project they want to work on.

Helmets, gloves, safety glasses and protective over coat are provided. Participants should plan to wear solid, closed toed shoes made of non-synthetic material. Long pants and long sleeve shirts made of non-synthetic material are also required.

This is a 4 week program, it meets on Tuesday and Thursdays each week at the Kirtland Grayling location. The first night of class is June 4th and it meets from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30p.m., it continues through June 27th. Participation is limited to 8 students. Must be at least 18 years of age.
