Join us for Summer Identifying and Removing Invasives Workshop, Saturday July 27th at 10:30am.

We will walk along the WVLT Rail Trail to identify and collect invasive vine species like Bittersweet. We will then return to the library and turn our collected invasive plants into handmade baskets.

Group leader Alex Bartholomew is Professor of Geology and Paleontology at SUNY New Paltz, and board member/trails chair for the Mill Brook Preserve.

Start time: 10:30am

Duration: 2 hours

Location: Gardiner Library, 133 Farmer's Turnpike, Gardiner, NY. Meet in the library community room.

Please wear comfortable shoes, long pants recommended, possible wet conditions, hand nippers if you have them, bug spray, water, etc.
