Start and finish: Jockey Hollow Visitor Center

Distance: 8-10 miles (with shorter options as well). The leader will show you where you can duck out to get back on your own.

Terrain: some hilly and potentially muddy trails

Transit: NJ Transit to Morristown Train Station. And free parking at the start.

Difficulty: Average -good if you have some experience with hiking, Pace is about 2.5 mph.Bring water an snacks for yourself. Bathroom at the start.

Explore the beauty and history of Morris County. Join us for a 5 -10 mile hike touching multiple trails. Pack your water, lunch, poles and hiking shoes and bring your friends. Terrain is a bit hilly, but very doable - may be some small streams to cross. The views are amazing.

  • Carpool from Morristown Train Station is offered if requested, arranged and confirmed ahead of time. From NY Penn Station take the 8:11 am train (Midtown Direct line) to Morristown. The train arrives in Morristown at 9:28 am. Note: If you are 62 or older tickets are 1/2 price.
