<H3>Summer Hack-a-thon for Teens</H3>
<H4>Hosted by the <A HREF="https://family-service.org/teen-tech-center.html" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Best Buy Teen Tech Center</A> and <A HREF="http://www.sastemic.org" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">SASTEMIC</A></H4>
This FREE event for teens ages 13 - 18 gives attendees the chance to learn how to create their own video games and build custom controllers. 
HALF-DAY &amp; FULL-DAY options available! Please RSVP for your preferred time slot so we can get an accurate headcount. If you can only attend in the morning or in the afternoon, you will get to design a single-level game and a simple controller. If you can attend the whole day, you'll get a chance to design a multi-level game and a more complex controller. 
We'll also talk about career and educational opportunities for video game designers!
Schedule:
Morning
9:00 - 10:30: Learn how to design a video game. We'll show you the basics of using Unreal Engine for video game creation. 
10:30 - 12:00: Develop your video game and learn how to create a custom controller. 
12:00 - 1:00 Lunch Break / open design time
Afternoon
1:00 - 2:30 Repeat of basic design lesson for afternoon-only attendees; advanced instruction for full-day attendees to add on to their game. 
2:30 - 4:00 Game development; repeat of custom controller instructions for afternoon-only attendees. 
4:00 - 5:00 Open design time
IMPORTANT: If you want to SAVE your game to take home with you, you will need to bring a NEW USB/flash drive with at least 16 GB or more of storage. It MUST be NEW IN THE PACKAGE or else you will not be able to use it. 
Lunch:  
Please bring a sack lunch, a water bottle, and snacks.

This event will be held at the Neighborhood Place in the Teen Tech Center, 3014 Rivas Street San Antonio TX 78228.
