  • EPIPEN: Children who bring an Epipen to camp must carry it with them, on their person, at all times (a fanny pack might be helpful).
  • Minor Injury: In the event that a child has a minor injury, the Humane Society of Greater Miami Camp Leader will treat said minor injury of the child being registered by using such means as an antiseptic or antibiotic wash and/or ointment, an adhesive bandage, and/or an ice pack. The Camp Leader will call you to notify you of any such injury.

  • Refund Policy: The parent/ guardian of the child must contact HSGM 7 days prior to the start of camp if they wish to receive a refund. If done 7 days before start of camp, you are entitled to receive a full refund minus the $50 registration fee. We will not refund any amount, under any circumstance, if this request is made with less than a 7-day notice, as that is insufficient time to find a replacement for the spot.

  • Very Important: General Release Waiver form must be signed in person by a parent or guardian on the first day of camp. This must be done, with no exceptions, for the child to be able to participate in the camp.

Frequently asked questions

Can HSGM do before or aftercare for my child?

Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity nor the manpower to do before or aftercare for 15 to 25 children. As it currently stands, the parent should be punctual and/or arrange for someone else to pick up the child should there be any scheduling or transportation issues.

What kind of food will be provided in the Summer Camp?

HSGM will NOT provide any food to any of our Camp attendees. Parents are in charge of packing lunch and snacks for their child. However, on Friday there is a pizza party to celebrate the end of Camp, so lunch will be provided that day.

Can I drop my child off an hour earlier? I'm busy with work at 9am.

No. We do not provide before or aftercare of any kind.

Do I have to pay full price even if my child only attends part of the camp?

Yes, full price must be paid regardless of how many days of camp are attended.

Can I get a full refund if I cancel ahead of time?

No. A $50 administrative fee will be kept by HSGM, and you will be refunded the remainder ($425). However, this partial refund will only be made if the cancellation is done 7 or more days before the start of camp.

What is the dress code?

1. Closed-toe shoes, 2. Pants, 3. HSGM Camp Shirt (provided by HSGM)

Can I buy extra T-Shirts?

Sure. We sell them for $20.
