Let’s face it… kids of any age love adventure, so what could be better than a Great Adventure Day Camp? Mystic Mountain Training Center, offers the one of the best summer camp for kids in Northwest PA, attracting kids from all over Erie, Crawford, and Warren counties every summer. Oh and did I mention that Grandparents love us, too? Grandchildren from Florida, North Carolina, Indiana, and Texas are regular campers! We’ve even had campers from Japan, Korea, and several Eastern European countries!
Where do I start in telling you what makes this camp so different than others in the area? We take our job very seriously to have campers experience the “best week of their life” while here. It is one on one attention from our teen staff who has been in training all year to learn how to make the camp experience exceptional for all who attend. These teens literally pour themselves into the campers showering them with unconditional love, a sneak peek into the love of Christ for us.
So, what is the Great Adventure Day Camp? It is outdoor education, leadership training, friendship making, mixed with good old fashioned fun! It is more than just a day camp. It is skills and memories that will last a lifetime.
Children ages 5 to 13 have the opportunity to:
- Experience true horsemanship in beginner and advanced classes with individualized instruction
- Learn basic canoeing strokes & spend the afternoon on the pond
- Aim for the bull’s eye with bow and arrow
- Shoot a .22 caliber rifle on the range
- Create unique works of art that become lifelong treasures
- Learn how to work as a team with other campers in order to traverse the newly redeveloped low ropes and challenge course elements and games
- Cruise down our two waterslides each afternoon
- Experience the excitement of edge-of-your-seat, eye popping black light performances and dramatic story telling of the Beyond the Blue (BTB) Theater Team
- Young Explorers have a brand new home and theme featured events to keep every year fresh and new!
But, above all, campers learn that serving God is not a job, it’s life’s greatest adventure!
