About this event

  • 1 hour

This is a great opportunity for book clubs to find their next read, for readers to create a stellar to-be-read list for the summer, and for people to get connected to book clubs. This event is presented with support from Sourcebooks and is sponsored by Foothills.

BrocheAroe Fabian, a representative from Sourcebooks, will recommend a variety of books from different genres that are perfect book club reads. Authors Eva Jurczyk, Shauna Robinson, and Meagan Church will speak about their newest novels, followed by a Q&A session and a booksigning at Bookmarks.

Tickets are $25 (plus taxes & fees) and include your drink of choice at Footnote (up to a $10 value), dessert, tote bag and galleys from Sourcebooks, as well as entrance to the event. Attendees will also receive the book club discount of 20% off purchases made that night.

Doors open at 5:45pm. Check in at Bookmarks to receive your tote bag, galleys, and drink ticket. The program, along with desserts and drinks, will take place next door at Footnote.

Bookmarks cannot offer refunds on purchased tickets.

About the Authors

After receiving a degree in English with a focus on creative writing from Indiana University, MEAGAN CHURCH built a career as a storyteller and freelance writer for brands, blogs, and organizations. Her fiction focuses on overlooked and oppressed women’s voices from the past. A Midwesterner by birth, she now lives in North Carolina with her high school sweetheart, three children and a plethora of pets.

EVA JURCZYK is a librarian and the author of the Indie Next Pick and LibraryReads #1 Pick The Department of Rare Books and Special Collections. She lives in Toronto with her family.

SHAUNA ROBINSON’s love of books led her to try a career in publishing before deciding she’d rather write books instead. Originally from San Diego, California, she now lives in Virginia with her husband and their sleepy greyhound. Robinson is an introvert at heart—she spends most of her time reading, baking, and figuring out the politest way to avoid social interaction. She is the author of Must Love Books and The Banned Bookshop of Maggie Banks.
