This baking camp will introduce young children to different baking styles and techniques. The camp is very hands-on, and encourages children to learn to follow recipes and get creative. The kids will get comfortable mixing doughs, understanding yeast, cutting, shaping and decorating.
Day 1-
Emoji cookies-
We will make sugar cookies from scratch, and while they are baking, we will learn to create fondant shapes and cutouts to decorate the cookies Emoji style!
- We will make cookies from scratch, mix ingredients, roll the dough, cut cookies and bake.
- We will create fondant shapes and decorate our cookies as Emojis.
Day 2-
It’s Cheese snacks day - beats the store bought goldfish/ cheese its…!
These cheese snacks are delicious and nutritious, and a perfect snack without the preservatives that come along with the store bought varieties. We will make these from scratch- mixing, rolling, cutting and baking.
Day 3-
Birthday cake Whoopie pies-
- We will make vanilla cake from scratch- cracking, measuring, mixing and baking.
- We will whip delicious marshmallow buttercream filling.
- We will assemble our Whoopie pies and decorate with colorful sprinkles
Day 4-
Who doesn’t love fresh Bread?
- We will start the day by learning about bread, the ingredients and the magic that goes into creating this lovely staple food.
- We will shape our own loaves of Challah (a wonderful egg bread), proof and bake them.
- We will make Pizzas for lunch.
