Submersion Workshops
Join us for a submersion workshop with BlackRock Artist Michaela Harrison
Go deeper into the medicine of Whale Whispering via the Submersion workshops. We will explore our relationship to water and ways to better steward/nurture the waters within and without. We will experience both the power of collective listening and collective vocalizing through guided whalesong sessions. We will meditate on the significance of the Middle Passage and its connection to current affairs, the healing available to us through nature, and the importance of interspecies connection in this critical time of planetary upheaval.
Workshop Dates:
Saturday April 18 | 4:30PM-6:00PM
Saturday May 16 | 4:30PM-6:00PM
About Whale Whispering and Michaela Harrison:
Come sink into the experience of Michaela Harrison’s years-long conversation with the humpback whales of Bahia, Brazil. Rooted in her profound connection to African and Indigenous ancestral traditions and her lifelong trajectory as an animal whisperer, Whale Whispering is Harrison’s offering to a world in the throes of the most intense climate upheaval in recent history and facing concerted efforts to erase the truth about the roles oppressive and extractive systems have played in jeopardizing the viability of our planet as a habitat for various species, including our own.
