Nestled in a dreamy DTLA loft, this intimate lounge invites you to sip on bottomless tea, snack on nourishing nibbles, sink into plush cushions, and flow with ambient, downtempo, dub-infused DJ sets. Doodle, dream, or simply dissolve into conversation in a space designed for softness and spontanei-tea.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find the space?

Finding us is part of the journey—Sub•Liminal is held in the loft space on the 2nd floor. Our entrance is through the alley just off Venice Blvd, between Flower St & S Hope St. Look for the glow, follow the sound, and step into the in-between. Parking lot entrance is behind building on S Hope St.

What should I wear?

Come as you are, dress as you feel—soft, flowing, and effortless. Think layers, textures, and cozy elegance. We kindly ask for no shoes in the space, so bring your favorite socks or enjoy the feeling of being barefoot. Comfort is the vibe—wear what lets you lounge, sip, and drift with ease.

What kind of tea do you serve?

We offer a rotating selection of high-quality teas from "Chado Tea House"—herbal, green, and white. All teas are bottomless, so sip freely.

What should I bring?

Your presence is enough, but feel free to bring a sketchbook, journal, or a cozy shawl. Socks or slippers are encouraged since this is a no-shoes space. Water colors, colored pencils, and paper is provided.
