Description

Conflict may arise, intentionally or unintentionally, in our workplace or personal lives. However, how we receive and act on the conflict is what matters most. Generative Conflict Resolution is the first in a two-part series that will provide you with tools and resources to address conflict in your workplace. Whether you're on the receiving end or the giving end of the conflict there are steps we as a people can make to move towards a resolution. Join the Seattle University Alumni Association and African-American Alumni Group with Dr. Holly Slay Ferraro to gain new tools for conflict resolution in the workplace and life.

Holly Ferraro

Holly Slay Ferraro, PhD

Dr. Holly Slay Ferraro's current research examines the role of networks and identity in career transition decision making, career decision making at midlife/mid-career and the impact of demographic diversity on leadership attributions. She is especially interested in issues of professional identity and the influence that other identities (including race, gender, and organizational) may have on the construction of professional identity and the outcomes associated with professional identity. She recently published an article in Human Resource Management and a book chapter in the Handbook of Career Studies. Dr. Ferraro's research on midlife/midcareer transition won a Cutting Edge Award from Academy of Human Resource Development.

This event is hosted by the African-American Alumni Group of Seattle University and is open to all SU alumni, students, and friends of the university.

The African-American Alumni Group's mission is to strengthen and support the Black alumni, student, faculty, and staff community of Seattle University.
