Study Jams

Conceived and founded by artist Mark Bradford, philanthropist and collector Eileen Harris Norton, and social activist Allan DiCastro, Art + Practice (A+P) is a private operating 501(c)3 foundation based in Leimert Park, Los Angeles. A+P has two areas of focus which together embody its commitment to supporting the needs of its local foster youth while also providing the community with free access to museum-curated contemporary art.

Every first Saturday of the month, starting in May, we are talking about Black photography!

Art + Practice presents Study Jams, a spirited and enlightening, exhibition-based learning experience. Led by A+P’s passionately well-informed Gallery experience Coordinator, Leah Moment, each session is specially crafted to expand your understanding with new connections.You’ll increase your understanding, while simultaneously increasing your capacity to access and appreciate the subtle nuances, deeper conceptual implications, and less evident dimensions of Black contemporary art. Visit A+P for a series of intimate, yet communal-based lessons that you won’t soon forget. Check back in every first Saturday of the month to learn more!
