About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

This is two hours of studio time with a clothed model. This session directly follows the Introduction to Figure Drawing Class. The model will be warmed up and moving into longer pose times. Students signed up for the introductory class can attend this studio time at no additional cost. Click Here for more about the introductory class.

During this studio session time, artists will have an opportunity to practice figurative drawing, or make figure studies for a future painting or art work. Play with a new technique. Work on gesture and emotion, or clothing folds. Working from a live clothed model, each pose will provide an opportunity for inspiration and practice on your own.

Attendees should bring their own drawing supplies, easels, and if you’d like a cushion for a chair, or warm attire, or head phones. All levels of artists are welcome. Appropriate for ages 14 up, however children 14 - 18 must be accompanied by an adult. No easel, no problem. We will have tables and chairs set up.

This event will be moderated by Madrone Arts founding member Shannon Webb. All proceeds will go to pay for the space and model.
